What is a Vision Board for Direct Sales and WHY do I Need one?
A vision board for direct sales at its simplest – is a visual representation of our goals for a specified amount of time.
Goals. I did it – I said the “G” word.
We often hesitate to set them because, lets be honest – we don’t want to FAIL!
“Giving up on your goal because of one setback is like slashing your other three tires because you got ONE flat.”
Definition of a Goal = the result or achievement TOWARD which effort is directed.
I LOVE this definition. It’s not – the place YOU MUST end up.
It simply states that we are directing our EFFORT towards it.
No matter WHAT you are directing your effort towards – you NEED a vision board.
“If you don’t build your dreams, someone will hire you to build theirs”
Here are a few vision board examples :

As you can see – they are EACH as unique as their owners. Make it YOU!! THAT is what’s important!
Why do I Need a Vision Board?
A vision board is applicable whether you are in direct sales, or a stay at home mom! Goals help us move forward and become who we want to be. The purpose of a vision board is to keep your goals “present” in your mind at all times. It is essentially for your subconscious. It keeps you focused on those things that matter most to you. Due to this – it’s important that you hang your vision board somewhere that you will look at it/see it everyday. You want it to be something that is OFTEN glanced at – in order to spur on your subconscious. It doesn’t matter how pretty the board is. It doesn’t matter if its digital or if it’s a collage – cut and paste from magazines – it could just be a written list of your goals. It should be visually inspiring to YOU – that is really what matters. Personally, mine hangs by my computer so I see it MULTIPLE times each day. I did make a digital one as well that is my screen saver – – so it’s “always on my mind”. My vision board is indicative of the current year. However, I set monthly goals as well that help me PLAN to reach the big ones! Then, I have a way to monitor my progress.
Now, once you know what you are after – you know where you have to concentrate your EFFORTS. When you know precisely what you want – you’ll quickly be about to spot the distractions that can, so easily, lead you off your path. Taking time to make a plan is important. Break your Bigger Goal into smaller steps you can track. After all . . .
“A goal without a plan is just a wish”
So go get started on yours RIGHT now – – – I’d love to see a picture of it!! Post it in the comments. Let’s inspire each other to be the BEST we can be!!
