Top 5 Mermaid Makeup Tutorials

The mention of a Mermaid breeds thoughts of fantasy & dreams.  They are a legendary creature which appear in the folklore of many cultures.  Half-human, half-sea creature – Girls LOVE the allure of Mermaids. They long to don a tail and swim off into the unknown.   Because Mermaids are legendary – we get to interpret how they look.

Mermaids can be classy, glamorous, cute or even sultry. The look is entirely up to the mermaid!

1.  Get gorgeously simple “mermaid” eyes with glitter.  If desiring to look classic & beautiful – THIS is a great tutorial to start with.  I LOVE this look – but I think I might add some opal gloss to the matte lipstick.

2.  This opalescent mermaid look uses a fishnet to bring about the perfect scales.  I especially love the white eyeliner and the white dots she adds above her eyebrow – soooo pretty.  I think I’d bring a little more purple (just a TIDGE) into the lipcolor, though.

3.  This mermaid also focuses on opalescence – but plays it off differently using purple as the base instead of turquoise.  I esp. love the monochromatic look she creates with opal on her lips and the dots all over her forehead.  These dots are mezmerizing to me.  The glossy/glitter look below her eyes makes it look like she just emerged from the sea  – it’s beautiful!!!  4.
