LipSense Mixology: The ART of mixing LipSense

The skill of mixing LipSense is called LipSense Mixology.  Since, LipSense is applied in three layers – custom colors can easily be created just by changing the order in which colors are applied or switching up the colors used.  The ART of mixing – is honestly being brave enough to TRY!  EVERYONE has the ability to become an EXPERT LipSense Mixologist!  (Try it, I DARE YOU!) I love to create custom colors that “match” or complement whatever I am wearing. So, let’s try it with Aussie Rose LipSense Combinations.

Look at HOW DIFFERENT these photos below look – and EACH one uses Aussie Rose LipSense for at least one layer.  Since Aussie Rose has cool undertones – you can see how the last few pics “warm” up my look.  When you mix cool and warm undertones together – the warm definitely “neutralizes” the look a bit.  

 Aussie Rose LipSense Combinations:

With just 2 LipSense LipColor tubes – you can make 8 custom colors based on how you mix them.  For example: if you have Aussie Rose (color A) and Kiss Me Katie (color B) – you can mix it the following ways: AAA, AAB, ABA, BAA or BBB, BBA, BAB, ABB.  Just by changing HOW you layer it – changes the color.

Now if you add in one more color – so you now have 3 LipSense LipColor tubes in total – you can make 27 different combinations.  27!!!!!  As your collection of LipSense grows – so does your ability to create those custom colors (exponentially, in fact!).

Why do I Need a SeneGence Color Correcting Tinted Moisturizer or CCTM?

Are you ready for a LIFE – ALTERING product?  I tell you – SeneGence Color Correcting Tinted Moisturizer or CCTM is it!!!

But First, a little bit of history

BB cream was introduced in 2011.  Short for Beauty Balm or Blemish Balm, it’s a tinted moisturizer with broad-spectrum SPF which delivers anti-aging ingredients while hydrating the skin. It was initially developed by a German dermatologist who wanted one cream to protect the skin and provide coverage.  Women LOVED this cream that took the place of multiple products and gave them some coverage all at the same time.  Essentially like a lighter foundation with a few skin care benefits thrown in.   Overall complaints were that it wasn’t as moisturizing as they would have liked AND it was thick and heavy.

When CC cream was introduced – women naturally jumped on board – the CC stands for color correcting which addresses redness, ruddiness of the skin.  It is much lighter than the BB cream, a more natural coverage with benefits of sun protection thrown in.

Our CCTM is so moisturizing, I have many customers that use it as their daily mosturizer!  Foundation can be applied on top of it – but it’s not a necessity.  I have multiple customers who wear SeneGence Color Correcting Tinted Moisturizer all by itself every day. SeneGence® Color Correcting Tinted Moisturizer (CCTM) comes in 6 shades: Fair, Light, Light-Medium, Medium , Medium-Deep, & Deep.  The craziest thing is that it totally adapts to your pH.  I am as white as they come – I got teased growing up that I was Casper the ghost and my entire life my foundation color is almost always porcelain. (I know, TMI!) However, I can wear the Medium, Light-Medium, Light or Fair.  EACH of them adapt to my skin and you wouldn’t even know they were there – totally natural.  It is mind boggling if you haven’t used SeneGence® products before.  When I was working in Chicago during Chicago Fashion Week a few years ago – many of my models were African American with beautiful deep, dark skin and the medium would adapt to their skin just fine.  It really is incredible stuff.

My advice – if you are waffling between which one to start with – GET THE MEDIUM!! It is a perfect addition for someone who doesn’t typically wear makeup AND for someone who LOVES makeup and uses it everyday.   It protects your skin AND does all those amazing things listed in the above graphic =  AWESOME!!
