Each Year Pantone Color Institute presents it’s color of the year.
For 2018 it was Ultra Violet
Often dubbed the color of “connection” it is commonly used in meditation spaces. This deep purple is reminiscent of Prince’s signature color. Throughout history this color has been used as a representation of royalty and political power. It has already made its way into home decor, nail design and of course, fashion. The biggest question is how to will include this color in YOUR world in 2018.
How to add Pantone Color of the Year into your makeup routine:
LipSense has a few beautiful color variations that’ll make YOUR lips POP this year. Whether you love to wear bright and bold colors or soft muted neutrals – we have the color for you to emulate the ULTRA VIOLET in your life.
FOUR of the Seasonal Color Trends for Spring 2018 are hues of purple. FOUR!!! So maximize this by making sure you have at least a few different hues of lipstick to wear. LipSense is ideal since you can MIX the colors to create your own color – thus ENSURING you’ll always look like you bought the latest trendiest color.
Here are my top picks for Purple LipSense this season:
You can see that Violet Volt is the closest match to Ultra Violet – however, not all of us are brave enough to wear that bright, amazing color on our lips. The others I listed here have gorgeous hues of purple in them that’ll still make you feel on trend and impress your friends with your fashion prowess – and will complement WHATEVER you are wearing.
ShadowSense is THE way to wear eye makeup. If you have not yet tried this – DO NOT DELAY!! It doesn’t smudge or budge! It really lasts all day – and it blends SOOOOO beautifully. Just trust me! You NEED this in your life. I highly suggest starting with a ShadowSense Trio or two – as then you have everything you need to create a beautiful eye. These graphics are amazing as they explain which color should do what: highlight, contour and transistion. ShadowSense is a creme – once applied to your eye – you have about 1-2 minutes to blend it and do with it what you want – THEN it will last all day long.
So which ShadowSense Trio are you dying to try out first? There are SOOOO many options! I also love Amethyst used with Granite(contour) and Silver Shimmer(highlight). Can you see how adding this gorgeous color to your eyes could REALLY up your trendy look!
TIP: A fun way to AMP up the amethyst is to mix it with a little Onyx. You get a gorgeous DEEP purple that almost fully resembles Ultra Violet. Want more pigment? Add more color and don’t blend as much!
Another ON TREND TIP this year is to highlight!!! This TIP is MY favorite. Use our Pearlizer to get that DEWY look that everyone is after this season. You can add a pump of it to your favorite foundation color , add some final touches with it after the rest of your face is done or as a quick contour. No matter how you use it – you’ll LOVE it!!! Our Pearlizer comes in a foundation bottle and it is an airless pump – so you will get every last drop of this magical stuff! The shimmer and shine in this will drive you wild!! Grab yours today.
TIP: My favorite places to use our Pearlizer is down my nose, just on top of my cupid’s bow and of course around the outside of my eyes in a C curve- starting above my eyebrows and then around and under my eye.
These 3 Elements should help you feel like your Makeup is updated and ON TREND for 2018.
