Introduced by SeneGence, International in April 2016 – Violette LipSense was initially inspired by the beauty of Paris and Parisian cafes.
It was introduced @ the same time as Rose All Day LipSense and Opal gloss. Opal gloss has since become part of the permanent line of glosses and Rose All Day LipSense had a starring role as a re-released Limited Edition in Fall 2018. (To see if I still have any Rose All Day hand – go to THIS post)
Violette was quickly added to the permanent line and is currently described as a light magenta-mauve with a frosty finish. It is a blue-based color with cool undertones. (Not sure what YOUR undertone is? Find out, HERE.)
LipSense Mixology: The ART of mixing LipSense
LipSense Mixology is the skill of mixing LipSense. LipSense is applied in three layers – so custom colors can easily be created just by changing the order in which colors are applied or switching up the colors used. The ART of mixing – is honestly being brave enough to TRY! EVERYONE has the ability to become an EXPERT LipSense Mixologist! (Try it, I DARE YOU!) I love to create custom colors that “match” or complement whatever I am wearing.
Look at HOW DIFFERENT these photos below look – and EACH one uses Violette LipSense for at least one layer. Violette is a blue-based color (cool undertones) as are the colors it is mixed with in the first four pictures. The last two pictures are mixed with Honey Rose and Precious Topaz – which are BOTH yellow-based colors (warm undertones). Can you see how they “warm” up my makeup look and my outfit?
Make your own Violette Lipsense Color Combinations:
With just 2 LipSense LipColor tubes – you can make 8 custom colors based on how you mix them. For example: if you have Violette (color A) and Violet Volt (color B) – you can mix it the following ways: AAA, AAB, ABA, BAA or BBB, BBA, BAB, ABB. Just by changing HOW you layer it – changes the color.
Now if you add in one more color – so you now have 3 LipSense LipColor tubes in total – you can make 27 different combinations. 27!!!!! As your collection of LipSense grows – so does your ability to create those custom colors (exponentially, in fact!).
The best part about LipSense Mixology is that the ONLY limit is your imagination . . . I’d love to see YOUR creations (seriously my favorite part) – post your Violette LipSense mix and photo below!!! Order your Violette LipSense HERE.
